This elegantly restored home offers perhaps the best view in the area. Sitting high on the hill
overlooking the Narrow River Kayak Shop and the marshes, one can sit watching the world go
by below; the container ships leaving for Europe down the Bay, the wildlife skirting the
marshland, the boaters silently playing on the water, and the Beavertail light house faithfully
keeping watch over it all.
The house is beautifully arranged for a variety of family set-ups with its two part interior, each
containing its own kitchen and living room. The back part has the Queen Master Suite with a
huge walk-in closet, large bath, laundry room, cathedral ceilinged living room with fireplace,
deck and grill. There are three separate entrances into this part, one of which is wheelchair
The front part contains three bedrooms: two twin rooms in the quaint, wide-board floored second
level, and the Queen bedroom, also with antique wide-board floors, on the first level. A full bath,
library with fireplace, cathedral ceilinged living room with dining area, and a granite counter-top
open concept kitchen complete this area. And they both have views to the max.
The two parts are connected by an interior door, yet each can be self-contained and private:
perfect for the couple with grown children, or with a nanny, or with parents, or married siblings;
the list of creative uses goes on.
And best of all, the house is partially surrounded by conservation land right down to
Middlebridge Road to grant perfect serenity and privacy. The nearest house is only sometimes
occupied at present. Mature and arboretum plantings, 100 year old blueberry bushes and flower
gardens give you the real sense of a South County life.
Period details and stylish furnishings, combining antique and modern, with lots of light, make
this home a unique summer retreat.
Although you may never want to leave the serenity of the grounds, the house is a short drive to
Narragansett Town Beach and Narragansett Pier. Narrow River is a haven for kayaking and
paddle-boarding with public access. This antique, fully modernized property awaits you, ready to
share its unique and elegant lifestyle.
